LexVault doesn't work with individual documents in isolation. The platform connects the information that exists in a matter into one coherent overview. That overview is shown as a timeline and complemented by a calendar that keeps appointments and deadlines in view.
The timeline overview brings together the case details exchanged between lawyer and client, shared documents, client information, important appointments, deadlines and availability.
On this basis, LexVault AI can summarise content and answer factual questions about the matter. The quality of an answer depends largely on how complete and precise the shared case details are.
The AI serves solely as orientation within the matter. It does not give legal advice and does not make legal assessments.
How timelines work

Create a timeline for an approved client, one per case.

Add dated entries as the matter progresses, with up to 5 attachments each (PDF, images, office files, 10 MB per file).

Your client sees the same timeline in their portal, read-only, and can download anything you've shared.

Mark availability, leave day notes and attach files on the timeline's calendar. End the timeline when the case closes. The history stays.
How invite links work

Every lawyer gets a personal access URL on their profile page. Copy it and send it however you like.

The client opens the link and signs in with Google. No account setup, no password.

They land in your Approvals queue. Nothing is shared until you approve.

Approve, and they're attached to your practice. Decline, and they never see a thing.

LexVault is hosted on servers in Germany. The lawyer alone decides who may access the shared communication platform, through individual, automatically generated invite links. Unauthorised third parties are effectively prevented from viewing the protected communication.
